Abstract: This paper discusses a new perspective, investigating the relationship between cybersecurity threats and workers’ health and safety. This requires moving past the traditional view of cybersecurity, focused on technical aspects only, and extending the discussion towards the human and social consequences produced by cyberattacks. Considering the increasing adoption of digital technology in all organisations and the rise of attacks against their computer systems and networks, new emerging risks for workers’ health and safety need to be considered. Occupational safety and health (OSH) must deal with new needs and challenges in the years to come.
