Women4Cyber Italy Chapter, the Committee of experts starts working

Women4Cyber Italia, the non-profit association with the objective to support the participation of women in ICT world and in cybersecurity, gets to the heart of its activities.

Founded as the Italian chapter of the ECSO (European Cyber Security Organization) foundation, the association founded by Domitilla Benigni, Rita Forsi and Selene Giupponi has as its watchword the inclusion of women in the cyber domain. Its basic principles, as described on its website (https://women4cyber.it) aim at creating a community in order to share training, mentorship and networking.

The association starts its activities through its newbor Technical-Scientific Committee, made up of experts with different skills and competences, whose task will be to provide opinions and lines of action for the growth of the community. Among the members nominated in the CTS there is also Isabella Corradini, president of the Themis Research Center.

Women4Cyber Italia aspires to become a reference point for women looking to enter the ICT and cybersecurity fields. Therefore, the Technical-Scientific Committee could play a fundamental role in overcoming the gender gap in technology, a problem that also affects Italy.
