AI for financial business (urban) security

The project (launched in February 2024) aims to build an inter-associative Observatory ‘AI for Financial Business Urban Security’ promoted by OSSIF in collaboration with AIPSA, ASIS Chapter Italy, LUISS Guido Carli University and coordinated by Spike Reply.

The goal is to support the Corporate Security function in financial institutions, to cope with the growing evolution of Artificial Intelligence and its applications in these types of organization.

While on the one hand, in fact, the use of AI can help safety and security functions, on the other hand there are risks that should not be underestimated, for example with regard to human rights and security threats.

It is therefore necessary to identify the requirements, technologies, configurations and organization that allow an effective and legitimate use of AI for the prevention and mitigation of crime and to manage the effects of increasingly sophisticated threats.

The three working subgroups will try to provide answers from a technical, organizational and training points of view.

Isabella Corradini, president of the Themis Research Center, also participates in the sub-working groups for her expertise on the human factor issue.
